University Athletics

University athletics in each state of the United States are rigorously training their athletes in order to be declared as having the best university athletic program in the country. Not only do these universities compete for athletic supremacy but they also compete for having the best uniform and colors. Because of this, different universities have their own teams that don different colors and color combinations so that they will be easily recognized by fans. These colors are held with high regards as they become part of the university athletics tradition of the universities.

One example of this is the University of Kentucky Athletics which adopted blue and white as the official colors of their team since 1892. The University of Tennessee Athletics program in the meantime uses the orange and white colors since 1889. Green, orange and white are the colors that the University of Florida Athletics is using. The Arizona State University Athletics uses the color maroon and gold as their traditional colors. The University of Arizona Athletics had different names for their teams in the past but now their official team is known as the Sun Devils.

The Tigers of Auburn University Athletics wears their traditional burnt orange and navy blue every game time while the University of Toledo Athletics dons midnight blue and gold as their traditional game colors. University of Michigan Athletics don their maize and blue colors while their western counterpart in the Western Michigan University Athletics has their Broncos team carry the brown and gold colors. Michigan State University Athletics has the Wolverines as their official team name. The University of Wyoming Athletics share the same brown and gold colors as those of Western Michigan University however they have a different team which are Cowboys and Cowgirls.

The Commodores of Vanderbilt University Athletics always look impressive in their black and gold colors. The Western Kentucky University Athletics with their teams The Hilltoppers and The Ladytoppers are easily recognized by their red and white traditional colors. The University of Louisville Athletics is known for the Red and Black donning Cardinals when it comes to game time. Purdue University Athletics takes pride in their black and old gold colors which their official team The Boilermakers wears every time they engage in sports.

The different traditional colors of sports teams from different universities add excitement to every game time.
